Profile of System
The City of Shreveport contracts with Shreveport Transit Management, Inc. for the operation of the Shreveport Area Transportation System (SporTran). 25 scheduled fixed day routes and 8 fixed night routes provide service for Shreveport and Bossier City. All buses providing fixed route service are ADA accessible. A demand response paratransit and on-demand services are also operated which is called the SporTran On-Demand. Persons unable to access the fixed route system because of disabilities and /or low performing census are eligible for this service.
