Profile of System
Washington Parish Public Transit (WPPT) has been operating the public transit system since 1983. The system operates 12 ADA accessible vehicles Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The agency has an aggressive growth plan and is determined to meet the transportation needs of our citizens. Trips are provided to all areas of the parish. Common destinations are medical facilities, work sites, senior centers, shopping centers, government facilities and more.

WPPT provides efficient on-time service. Drivers are drug-screened and trained in CPR/First Aid and passenger assistance.

Two day advance reservations are required. Same-day services are provided on a space available basis. Please call for information. Fares for persons under age 60 are $6.00 and $8.00 one-way. Senior citizens are offered services through a federal grant and are asked to donate for trips.
