Tangipahoa Voluntary Council on Aging serves as a provider of rural demand-response public transportation service for Tangipahoa Parish Government.

A deviated-fixed route is provided through coordination with the Cities of Hammond and Ponchatoula, within the city limits for 50 cents per boarding. Operates 8:00 am-4:00 pm M-F

Effective July 1, 2024, Tangipahoa Voluntary COA through coordination with Parish Government is providing an Independence to Hammond Deviated Fixed route at a cost of .50 per boarding. This route operates 8:00 am - 4:00 pm M-F This is a pilot program **See Tangitransit.org
