Major Rehabilitation
Major rehabilitation consists of structural enhancements that extend the service life of an existing pavement system and/or improve its load-carrying capability. These pavements would be generally designed for a minimum 10-year design life within the existing crown.

Examples: rubblize and overlay, bonded concrete overlay, white-topping, multi-lift asphaltic concrete overlay, base reconstruction (stabilization or treatment) and overlay.
