Washington Parish Public Transit (WPPT) has been operating public transit in Washington Parish since 1983. The system operates 9 ADA accessible vehicles Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Common destinations are medical facilities, work sites, senior centers, shopping centers, government facilities and more.
WPPT provides efficient on-time service. Drivers are drug-screened and trained in CPR/First Aid and passenger assistance.
Two day advance reservation is required. Same-day services are provided on a space available basis. Please call for information. Fares for persons under age 60 are $6.00 in-city and $8.00 out of city one-way. Senior citizens are offered services through a federal grant and are asked to make a contribution toward the cost of services. |
