PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) in cooperation with Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) and in conjunction with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) are proposing improvement to five bridges crossing the Pearl River waterways on US 90 in St. Tammany Parish Louisiana and Hancock County Mississippi. The project limits extend along US 90 from US 190 in Louisiana to the US 90 intersection with Kelly Road / 7th Avenue in Pearlington, Mississippi. The purpose of the proposed action is to maintain system linkage, provide a diversion route in the event of an incident on I-10, support hurricane evacuation and improve the structural integrity and functionality of the bridges.
