Causeway/Earhart Environmental Assessment
The new Supplemental Environmental Assessment (SEA) focuses on the recommended alternative identified in the Earhart Expressway at Causeway Blvd. Interchange, S.P. No. H.002861 Traffic Study dated November 2013 and how this revised ramp fits with the Geometric Layout and Preliminary Plans from the original Environmental Assessment (EA).
This ramp will alleviate the short weaving section between southbound Causeway Blvd. and the entrance ramp from the traffic circle. The additional ramp will consist of widening the existing ramp from eastbound Airline Drive and the southbound on-ramp from the traffic circle to provide an additional lane.
The original Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) remains valid for the unchanged portions of the project (issued on January 9, 2008). The SEA only addresses the area that is changed.
