The Department of Transportation and Development hosted a public meeting on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 to discuss a proposed safety project on US 190 from I-12 to the Claiborne Hills overpass (E. Boston St.). The proposed project will improve the safety and efficiency of the roadway in the Covington area by restricting turning movements by closing some crossovers, changing some signals and adding signals at U-turns.
