Westbound LA 70 at the Mississippi River Bridge (Sunshine Bridge) in St. James Parish
*UPDATE* LA44 TO LA70 WEST BOUND RAMP WILL BE CLOSED FROM 9:00 AM - 12:00 NOON, MARCH 7, 2016.
The outside lane will be closed from Monday, March 7th, to Tuesday, March 8th, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day while crews perform a routine inspection on the bridge.
This closure will allow vehicles 11-feet wide or smaller to pass through the construction zone. Road is open for regular traffic but oversize vehicles must detour using LA 3125 East to LA 3213 South to LA 3127 West.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
