The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that on Tuesday February 23, 2016 at 7:00 AM, construction work will begin on the LA 1 overpass over I-49 near Boyce, LA. The work will consist of rehabilitating and repairing the existing structure. The construction work is expected to be completed in November 2016 and the bridge will be closed to through traffic for the duration of the project.

Permit/Detour Section
Southbound LA 1: Traffic heading southbound on LA 1 from Boyce, LA will be detoured onto LA 8 via Haywood B. Joiner St./Belfast Ave. and then onto I-49 southbound. Traffic will then exit I-49 southbound (Exit 94) onto Rapides Station Rd. and will continue onto LA 1 southbound
Northbound LA 1: Traffic heading northbound on LA 1 from Alexandria, LA will be detoured via Rapides Station Rd. onto I-49 northbound. Traffic will then exit I-49 northbound (Exit 98) onto LA 1 northbound.
NOTE: Only local traffic will be allowed on LA 1 between Rapides Station Rd. and the project site.
