LA 2 / US 425 Mer Rouge Railroad Crossing Morehouse Parish
Monday, February 15, 2016 at 7:15:50 AM
Update: 8:00 AM Friday 2/12/16 -- This work has been completed and the intersection and crossing has been reopened.

Update: This closure will begin on Wednesday, February 10 at 8 AM.

Beginning Thursday, February 11 at 8 AM through Friday, February 12 at 5 PM, the railroad crossing at Mer Rouge will be closed. The railroad (Union Pacific) will be doing scheduled repairs which will cause traffic using either US 425 or LA 2 to be detoured to a south railroad crossing on LA 3051. This will also cause delays on the west side of the railroad tracks along US 165 but those lanes will be open.

Permit/Detour section
The detour route around this road closure will be accessed using US 425 to LA 3051 to LA 138 to US 425.
