LA 497 in Glenmora, Rapides Parish, is open at the Union Pacific Railroad track. The work was done on LA 497 approximately 0.02 miles east of the intersection of LA 497 and US 165 in Glenmora. The closure on LA 497 started Thursday, January, 14, 2016 at 8:00 AM and completed on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 5:00 PM. Union Pacific Railroad changed out the track panel and surface panels.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that LA 497 in Glenmora, Rapides Parish, will be closed at the Union Pacific Railroad track. The work is being done on LA 497 approximately 0.02 miles east of the intersection of LA 497 and US 165 in Glenmora. The closure on LA 497 will start on Thursday, January, 14, 2016 at 8:00 AM with a reopening on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 5:00 PM. Union Pacific Railroad will be changing out the track panel and surface panels.
Permit/Detour section
The roadway will be closed completely to all traffic during this time. The detour will be LA 497 to US 165 North to LA 112 East to LA 497 South. The detour can accept oversized loads. The detour route will be identified with proper markings for the general public. All emergency agencies will be notified of the road closure.
