DIJON DRIVE EXTENSION (ESSEN LANE TO BLUEBONNET BLVD.)

EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH

The Capital Region Planning Commission (CRPC), in coordination with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), proposes the Dijon Drive Extension, a roadway on new alignment connecting Essen Lane (LA 3064) to the west and Bluebonnet Boulevard to the east. The LADOTD encourages the public to attend a Public Meeting for this project at the following time and place:

The purpose of this public meeting is to present an overview of the project and give the public an opportunity to provide comments that will help the study team in the evaluation of the alternatives. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) process for conducting Environmental Assessments (EA) in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act will also be described. Comments are requested on the purpose and need for the project, issues that should be considered in the EA and other concerns related to the project. A looping presentation will describe the project, the study process, and schedule. Informational handouts, maps, and graphic displays will be available at the meeting. Representatives from CRPC, LADOTD, FHWA, and the consultant team will be present to receive comments and discuss issues.

Verbal comments will be recorded. Written statements received at the meeting or mailed to the address below, if postmarked by December 31, 2015, will become part of the record of this Public Meeting.
