The Houma Navigation Canal Bridge crossing the Houma Navigation Canal on LA 661 in Houma, LA shall be opened to traffic at 2:00 PM, Friday November 13, 2015. The bridge will remain open to traffic until further notice.
This closure(s) to vehicular traffic was needed in order to allow LADOTD’s contractor to perform structural, mechanical, and electrical work as part of a multi-million dollar rehabilitation project.
Alternate routes available around the Houma Navigation Canal bridge closure(s) are as follows:
LA 661 (South Van Ave.) to LA 57 (Grand Caillou Road) to LA 3040 (Tunnel Blvd.) to LA 182 (Barrow St.) to LA 315.
LA 661 (South Van Ave.) to LA 24 (Twin Span Bridge) to LA 182 (Barrow St.) to LA 315.
