DOTD to host public meeting concerning La. 1 safety improvement project at Royal Street

WHAT: The public meeting will present roadway improvements on La. 1 at the intersection of Royal Street.

WHEN: Thursday, February 7, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.

WHERE: Christ the King Lutheran Church, 305 Royal Street, Natchitoches, LA

WHO: Representatives will be present to provide information and answer questions.

MORE INFO: The proposed project will widen the northbound and southbound lanes of La. 1 business and construct a center turn lane at Royal Street. Construction is expected to begin around first quarter of 2014. The project is being funded with federal and state safety funds.

The meeting will allow the public to learn more about the project and to sign-up to receive periodic e-mail updates on the project’s progression.
