UPDATE: NOW OPEN LA 509, Bridge over Crooked Bayou in Red River Parish

UPDATE -- This bridge is now open to all traffic.
LA 509, Bridge over Crooked Bayou in Red River Parish.
This is to advise that on Monday, September 14, 2015 beginning at 8:30 a.m., the LA 509 Bridge over Crooked Creek, approximately 1.11 miles east of the Desoto Parish line and 0.90 miles west of the junction of LA 1, near Abington in Red River Parish, will be closed for seven (7) days for piling repairs.
Alternate Route: TOTAL BRIDGE CLOSURE.
ALL vehicles must detour using I-49, US 84, LA 1 and LA 509.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
