**UPDATE**
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that LA 468 in Leesville, Vernon Parish, WILL NOW CLOSE ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 2015 at 8:00a.m with a reopening on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 5:00p.m. Kansas City Southern Railroad will be changing out the surface pads.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that LA 468 in Leesville, Vernon Parish, will be closed at the Kansas City Southern Railroad track. The work is being done on LA 468 approximately 0.22 miles east of the intersection of LA 468 and US 171 in Leesville. The closure on LA 468 will start on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 8:00 AM with a reopening on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 5:00 PM. Kansas City Southern Railroad will be changing out the surface pads.
Permit/Detour section
The roadway will be closed completely to all traffic during this time. The detour will be LA 468 to US 171 to LA 28/8 to LA 184 to LA 468. The detour can accept oversized loads. The detour route will be identified with proper markings for the general public. All emergency agencies will be notified of the road closure.
