Road Closure LA 3038, Railroad Crossing, Ascension Parish

LA 3038 (Cornerview Rd.) in Ascension Parish will be closed to thru traffic at the KCS rail road crossing which is ΒΌ mile west of Airline Hwy. in Gonzales, LA. The closure will begin on Monday, July 13, 2015 at 7:00 A.M. Cornerview Rd. and will reopen on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 5:30 P.M.
Motorists wanting to travel through Cornerview Rd. east bound will be detoured to LA 44, south to LA 939 (Worthy Rd.), east to LA 939 (Purpera Rd.), north to US 61 (Airline Hwy.), then north back to LA 3038. Motorists wanting to travel through LA 3038 west bound will be detoured south on US 61 to LA 939 (Purpera Rd.), south to LA 939 (Worthy), west to LA 44 (Burnside), North back to LA 3038.
This closure is for KCS crews to replace the existing rail crossing with a new one.
This is subject to change, weather permitting.
No motorists will be allowed to pass through this closure. Permit loads will have to contact LADOTD Permit office for an alternate route.
