The Golden Meadow Bridge (LA 308) crossing Bayou Lafourche in Golden Meadow, LA will be closed to vehicular traffic until further notice due to a mechanical failure in one (1) of the three (3) gearboxes used in lifting and lowering the movable span. The bridge will remain in the “open to marine” position until the repairs are completed.
Alternate bridges available for crossing Bayou Lafourche are: New Larose Vertical Lift Bridge, 15.1 miles north of the project, and the Galliano Vertical Lift Bridge, 6.6 miles north of the project.
