Update (2/12/16): LA 599, Morehouse Parish

UPDATE: Construction on LA 599 in Morehouse Parish is now complete. Traffic on LA 599 will no longer experience any delays associated with work on this project.

UPDATE: LA 599 in Morehouse Parish is currently back open to all traffic. Construction on the project is not complete. Intermittent lane closures will be needed to finish completion of erosion control measures and permanent striping. It is anticipated that construction will be complete on the project within the next three weeks, weather permitting.

The east loop of LA 599 in Morehouse Parish will be intermittently reduced to one lane. The lane closures will start anywhere from the intersection of LA 599 (commonly known as Son Olive Road in this location) and US 165 near Galion and continue to the intersection of LA 599 (commonly known as Rosenwald Road in this location) and US 165 near Bonita. The lane closures will begin on Wednesday, June 24th, 2015 and continue until approximately Friday, November 6, 2015. The lane closures will begin each morning around 7:00 a.m. and end around 5:00 p.m. each evening, weather permitting. No work on LA 599 is projected on the weekends at this time. These lane closures will allow contractors to perform work on existing drainage structures, rehabilitate the existing base, and install new asphalt surfacing.

Detours/Permits:
Detour routes will not be provided. LA 599 will be open to all traffic.
