The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that beginning Monday June 22, 2015 between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM, weather permitting, the Southbound I-49 on ramp (Exit 71 A) located on Southbound US 71/US 165 (MacArthur Drive) will be closed due to guardrail construction. This closure is expected to last approximately three days.
Permit/Detour section
Traffic will be detoured Southbound onto US 71/ US 165 (MacArthur Drive) to the LA 1 (Exit 70). Traffic will then proceed Southbound onto LA 1 and exit right onto Northbound US 71/ US 165 on ramp. Traffic will then exit onto I-49 South (Exit 71A).
