The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that, weather permitting, construction work will begin on US 171 from 400’ North of Boone St to the roundabout at LA 8/LA 28 on Thursday, June 18, 2015 and will continue for approximately (8) eight months. This 2.729 mile long project will receive concrete pavement rehabilitation, cold planing asphaltic concrete, pavement patching, superpave asphaltic pavement overlay and related work.
The project was awarded to the low bidder, Progressive Construction Co., LLC in the amount of $2,405,517.15.
Permit/Detour section
The roadway will be open to traffic at all times. There will be no restrictions for regular traffic and a 12’ wide lane width restriction for all oversize vehicles. However, there will be at least one lane accessible in the north and south bound directions on US 171 throughout the duration of the project.
