The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that LA 501, ½ mile South of LA 156 is NOW OPEN TO TRAFFIC, effective Monday, May 18, 2015 at 9:00 pm.

Drivers should slow down, be attentive, and avoid driving distracted; allow for extra driving time and additional room between vehicles; reduce speeds when visibility is low.
