LA 22, from Diversion Canal to LA 16, will be under construction beginning Monday, April 20, 2015. This work is expected to be completed in July 2015. Please be prepared for intermittent delays and possible lane closures. These lane closures are necessary while crews perform cold-planing, install cement treated base course, install new asphalt pavement, and other related work.
This closure will allow vehicles up to 11 feet wide to pass through the construction zone. The road is open for regular traffic but oversize vehicles and loads will be under permit restrictions. To avoid the construction zone, motorists may take LA 431 to LA 42 as an alternate route.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
