The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that on Monday, April 6th, 2015, construction will begin on LA 123 in Grant Parish. This work will begin at the intersection of LA 123 and US 167 in Dry Prong and proceed east for 2.7 miles to 0.52 miles east of Dry Prong Creek ending at the joint of the approaches to a recently constructed bridge on LA 123.
The intent of this project is to patch, chip seal, and overlay the existing roadway with 2” of Superpave Asphaltic Concrete. On Monday, April 6, 2015 patching will begin on LA 123. LA 123 will remain open to thru traffic, but temporary lane closures and the stopping of traffic should be expected.
The project was awarded to the low bidder, Gilchrist Construction CO. LLC, in the amount of $637,850.39. The work associated with this project should take approximately 35 working days to complete.
Permit/Detour section
Thru traffic will be maintained at all times. A 12’ width restriction will be required during construction.
