Notice of Upcoming Construction: Essen Lane (LA 3064) Bridge Widening, East Baton Rouge Parish

James Construction Group, L.L.C. will begin a bridge widening and utility relocation project on Essen Lane (LA 3064) in Baton Rouge. This project will widen the Ward Creek Bridge on Essen Lane in preparation for the future Essen Lane widening project. The relocating of utilities will take place on Essen Lane between Perkins Road and I-10. Lane closures will begin the week of March 30th to allow restriping and temporary concrete barrier installation in advance of the bridge construction beginning the week of April 6th, weather permitting.

The Contractor will be allowed to close lanes in each direction with the following restrictions:

Essen Lane Northbound (Allowable Closure Times):
Sunday thru Saturday nights (8pm – 5am)
One lane is to remain open at all times

Essen Lane Southbound (Allowable Closure Times):
Monday thru Thursday nights (8pm – 5am)
Friday 8pm – Monday 5am
Two lanes are to remain open at all times

Work should be complete in May of 2016, weather permitting.

Motorists should expect delays and be prepared to stop.

There will be no vehicle restrictions.

Work is subject to change depending on adverse weather conditions.
