US 167 Grant Parish to the intersection of LA 472 Winn Parish; S.P. #H.010368.6; Control Section 023-03
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 removal of the existing surfacing will begin on the northbound side of US 167 in Grant Parish. This work will begin at the intersection of US167 and LA 472 then proceed north approximately 9 miles ending at the Winn Parish line.
The intent of this project is to patch, cold plane to a depth of 2”, then overlay the existing northbound US 167 with 3.5” of Superpave Asphaltic Concrete. On Wednesday, April 1, 2015 the contractor will begin this process with patching and cold planing the existing surface. One lane will be closed at a time, allowing traffic through the project at all times.
The project was awarded to the low bidder, Gilchrist Construction Co. LLC, in the amount of $3,725,228.45 The work associated with this project should take approximately 170 calendar days to complete.
