US 61(Scenic Hwy) north of Thomas Road,East Baton Rouge

US 61 (Scenic Hwy) will have alternating lane closures in each direction approximately a half mile north of Thomas Road on Wednesday April 1, 2015 from 8am to 8pm and Thursday April 2, 2015 from 8am to 8pm. One lane will remain open in each direction at all times. This closure is necessary for asphalt roadway repairs at the railroad crossing approaches.
This closure will allow vehicles 11-feet wide or less to pass through the construction zone and no detour is necessary. These closures are subject to change due to the threat of adverse weather.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
