DOTD to hold ribbon-cutting ceremony for La. 3276 improvement project in Stonewall

What: DOTD will host a ceremony to celebrate the completion of the $10.2 million project to reconstruct La. 3276 in Stonewall from I-49 to U.S. 171 in DeSoto Parish.

When: Wednesday, December 19, at 2 p.m.

Where: The event will be held at Salem Baptist Church, located at 109 Church Road in Stonewall.

Additional Info: The project reconstructed and cleared vegetation to improve sight distance on a 4.5-mile segment of La. 3276 (Stonewall-Frierson Road) from I-49 to U.S. 171. A 0.4-mile segment of the project near U.S. 171 was widened to include a center-turn lane. The rest of the segment has been brought up to current design standards by constructing 12-foot travel lanes and 8-foot shoulders as opposed to the previous 10-foot travel lanes and narrow shoulders. Construction work began in early November 2011 and completed in December of 2012.
