DOTD to begin replacement of Bayou Parc Perdu and Creek Bridges LA 89 in Iberia Parish

NEW IBERIA, La. – Today, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced that beginning Wednesday, February 18, La. 89 will be closed to through traffic as crews begin the $2.5 million project to replace the Bayou Parc Perdu and Creek Bridges.

The bridge location near Janine Drive will be replaced first and is estimated for completion in summer 2015. Immediately following its completion, crews will begin replacing the bridge location over Bayou Parc Perdu, which is estimated for completion in early 2016.

For the duration of construction, motorists will need to use the following detour:

La. 88, U.S. 90 and La. 14.
