M/V Acadia begins service at Cameron- Cameron Parish

Cameron Ferry II is being removed from service to go to its regularly scheduled dry-dock. Cameron Ferry II is expected to be in dry-dock for several months. The M/V Acadia begins service at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday February 11, 2015. While the Acadia is in service, vehicle combinations up to 50-ft in length will be allowed to board. Standard length tractor-trailer trucks and longer vehicle combinations will be required to detour.

Fishermen and boaters should note the boat launch on the west side of the Calcasieu River, adjacent to the ferry landing, will be closed while the M/V Acadia is in service to ensure safety.
