PORT FOURCHON, La. – Effective Monday, February 9, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development will temporarily close the southbound “Tag Only” lane (left lane) of the toll bridge at La. 1 Highway, in Leeville, for equipment upgrades. The closure will be in effect starting at 9 a.m. and may last up to 24 hours.

During the temporary closure, all “GeauxPass” traffic will need to pass through the “Cash and Credit” lane (right lane).
Vehicles with GeauxPass Toll Tags will need to reduce speed in the smaller lane and should not stop at the toll booth. All cash and credit customers will still be required to stop at the toll booth and pay as usual.
Heavy trucks transporting wide and oversized loads will be redirected to contra-flow up the northbound lane by DOTD Traffic Control Staff.

Motorists should be prepared for intermittent delays and are encouraged to plan routes accordingly. They should also use caution during the lane closures and obey all signs and traffic control staff direction.
