US 61(Scenic Hwy) north of Thomas Road,East Baton Rouge

US 61 (Scenic Hwy) will have one lane closed in each direction approximately a half mile north of Thomas Road from 7:00 am – 7:30 pm on Saturday January 24 and Sunday January 25, 2015. These closures are necessary for preparations related to an upcoming railroad crossing replacement.
These closures will allow vehicles 11-feet wide or less to pass through the construction zone and no detour is necessary. These closures are subject to change due to the threat of adverse weather.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
