LA 73 (Jefferson Hwy) East Baton Rouge Parish

LA 73 (Jefferson Highway) in East Baton Rouge Parish, between existing Antioch Road and Baringer Foreman Road, will have a single lane closure in the northbound and then in the southbound direction with the lane closures being alternated from 7am on Saturday, January 17, 2015 until 7pm on Sunday, January 18, 2015. One lane will remain open at all times and flagmen will be used to maintain both traffic directions using the single lane. This lane closure is necessary for the installation of new drainage pipe across the existing travel lanes of Jefferson Highway as part of the Antioch Road Extension Project.
There are no vehicle restrictions and no detour is necessary. The closures are subject to change due to adverse weather conditions.
DOTD and DPW appreciate your patience and remind you to please drive with caution through the construction site and to be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
