Sawmill Rd. Bridge over I-10 reopens in St Martin Parish

Sawmill Rd. Bridge over I-10 near the western St. Martin/Lafayette Parish line will reopen as a one lane bi-directional bridge controlled by an alternating traffic signal on Wednesday, December 12, 2012. The bridge has been closed to traffic since October 31, 2012, when it was impacted by an eastbound vehicle on I-10. Motorists are encouraged to be patient, respect the traffic signal, and to expect this condition to be in effect for several months. DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
