River Road, East Baton Rouge Parish

The northbound lanes of River Road in East Baton Rouge Parish, between North Street and St. Philip Street, will be closed from 6pm on Friday, January 9, 2015 until 6am on Monday, January 12, 2015. One lane will remain open in the southbound direction at all times. This closure is necessary to complete the crosswalk construction at the Florida Street, Convention Street, and North Boulevard intersections with River Road.
The northbound traffic will be redirected and detoured using the following route: Government Street to 10th Street to North Street, and back to northbound River Road. Detour route signing will be in place prior to the closure to direct traveling motorists.
This closure is subject to change due to adverse weather conditions.
DOTD and DPW appreciate your patience and remind you to please drive with caution through the construction site and to be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
