The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that, weather permitting, work will begin on the LA 392 Asphaltic Concrete Overlay and Base Stabilization Project on Monday, January 5, 2015 and will continue for approximately (4) four months. The contractor intends to begin removing asphalt pavement surfacing and replacing existing cross drain pipes within the existing roadway with other items of work to follow. This asphaltic concrete overlay and base stabilization project is located on LA 392 and begins at its intersection of US 171 and ends at Peason Ridge Wildlife Management Area. This 4.44 mile long project will receive drainage structures, in-place cement stabilized base course, superpave asphaltic concrete overlay and related work.

The project was awarded to the low bidder, WE McDonald and Son, LLC in the amount of $2,374,513.91.

Permit/Detour section
There will be no restrictions for passenger vehicles and a 12’ wide lane width restriction for all oversize vehicles. The roadway will be reduced to one lane during construction. The roadway will be open to traffic at all times. Unpaved surface conditions will exist during base course work.
