LA 43, from LA 1040 to James Chapel Road, will be under construction beginning Monday, January 5, 2015. This work is expected to be completed in June 2015. Please be prepared for intermittent delays and possible lane closures. These lane closures are necessary while crews install a new turnlane and other related work.
This closure will allow vehicles up to 11 feet wide to pass through the construction zone. The road is open for regular traffic but oversize vehicles and loads will be under permit restrictions. To avoid the construction zone, motorists may take LA 441 as an alternate route.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
