The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that US 167 in Meeker, Rapides Parish, will be closed at the Union Pacific Railroad track. The work is being done on US 167 approximately 0.01 miles west of the intersection of US 167 and US 71 in Meeker. There will be intermittent daytime closures on US 167 starting on Wednesday December 17, 2014 and ending on Saturday December 20, 2014. Union Pacific Railroad will be replacing rail through the crossing.
Permit/Detour section
The roadway will be closed completely too all traffic during this time. The detour will be US 167 to US 71 to LA 112 to I-49 South to US 167. The detour can accept oversized loads. The detour route will be identified with proper markings for the general public. All emergency agencies will be notified of the road closure.
