LA 1204; Tioga; Rapides Parish
Mile Post 2.47; Control Section 840-31
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that LA 1204 in Tioga, Rapides Parish, will be closed at the Union Pacific Railroad track. The work is being done on LA 1204 approximately 0.27 miles west of the intersection of LA 1204 and US 165 in Tioga (Milepost 2.47; Control Section 840-31). There will be intermittent daytime closures on LA 1204 starting on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 and ending on Thursday, December 11, 2014. Union Pacific Railroad will be replacing rail through the crossing.
Permit/Detour section
The roadway will be closed completely to all traffic while work is underway. The detour will be LA 1204 to US 165 to LA 623 to LA 3225 to LA 1204. The detour can accept oversized loads. The detour route will be identified with proper markings for the general public. All emergency agencies will be notified of the road closure.
