The Houma Navigation Canal Bridge crossing the Houma Navigation Canal on LA 661 in Houma, LA will be closed to vehicular traffic in accordance with the schedule shown below:
• Closed Monday November 10, 2014 thru Friday, November 14, 2014 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Closed Monday November 17, 2014 thru Friday, November 21, 2014 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Closed Monday November 24, 2014 thru Friday, November 28, 2014 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
These closure(s) to vehicular traffic are needed in order to allow LADOTD’s contractor to perform structural, mechanical, and electrical work as part of a multi-million dollar rehabilitation project.
Alternate routes available around the Houma Navigation Canal bridge closure(s) are as follows:
LA 661 (South Van Ave.) to LA 57 (Grand Caillou Road) to LA 3040 (Tunnel Blvd.) to LA 182 (Barrow St.) to LA 315.
LA 661 (South Van Ave.) to LA 24 (Twin Span Bridge) to LA 182 (Barrow St.) to LA 315.
