The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that paint work will begin on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 8:30 AM on the Gillis W. Long Bridge (also known as the Jackson Street Bridge), US 165-B over the Red River. The work will require temporary lane closures which will alternate in each direction. The work is expected to last until 5:00 PM.

The public is advised to use alternate routes when possible. This will alleviate congestion and minimize delays.

Permit/Detour section
Traffic will be maintained at all times. Therefore, there are no detours associated with this work.
NOTE: Maritime traffic will not be affected by the paint work.
