LA 18, 4th Street Bridge, will have one lane closed to traffic on the bridge, starting October 27, 2014, Weekdays: 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The 4th Street Bridge (LA 18) will be closed to all vehicular traffic nightly from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM and on weekends, starting at 7:00 PM Friday until 6:00 AM Monday. The closures will last until Monday, November 17, 2014 @ 6:00AM for painting of the bridge.
This closure will allow vehicles 14 feet wide or smaller to pass through the construction zone. Oversized vehicles must detour using US 90 Bus. Overhead Expressway.
Vehicles can detour the area via the following routes:
• LA 18 Westbound: LA 3017 (Peters Road) onto US 90 Bus., through the Harvey Tunnel, and onto LA 45 (Barataria Blvd.)
•LA 18 Eastbound: LA 3018 (Destrahan Ave) onto US 90 Bus., through the Harvey Tunnel, and onto Manhattan Boulevard.
