The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that weather permitting, on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 road construction work will begin on LA 1177 from the Avoyelles Parish line to its junction with Route US 71.
This 1.3 mile long road base rehabilitation construction project will receive in-place cement stabilized base course, superpave asphaltic concrete pavement, and related work. This contract was awarded to the low bidder, W. E. McDonald & Son, LLC, in the amount of $611,085.93.
Permit/Detour Section
No wide loads will be allowed beginning October 7, 2014. The roadway will be open to traffic at all times; however, there will be lane closures. Unpaved roadway conditions will exist during the base course construction.
