The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that beginning Monday, September 15, 2014 at 7:00 AM, weather permitting, construction work will begin on LA 461 in Rapides Parish between Hineston and Calcasieu. The Project will consist of a new cement treated base and asphalt overlay. The construction is expected to last approximately four months and temporary lane closures can be expected throughout the length of the project.
Subsequent press releases will follow to inform the public of additional closures.
Permit/Detour section
Local and through traffic will be maintained at all times. Therefore, there are no designated detours at this time. However, there will be 12’ width restrictions starting on Thursday, September 18, 2014.
