The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that beginning Tuesday, September 2, 2014 construction work will require the closure of the northbound lane of Texas Avenue at the Intersection of Texas Avenue and Jackson Street (adjacent to Budget Car and Truck Rental). The work will consist of replacing the existing sidewalk with an ADA compliant sidewalks. The construction work is expected to last approximately two weeks. The lane closure will affect the signal timing and possibly cause additional traveling time for motorist passing thru this intersection.
Permit/Detour section
Through traffic will be maintained at all times, therefore there are no detours associated with this closure.
