PRESS RELEASE
SPN H.000498: US 190 (LA 22 to Lonesome Road)
St. Tammany Parish
August 8, 2014
REVISION

There will be alternating lane closures on both the Eastbound and Westbound lanes of US 190 from the LA 22/US 190 interchange (near mile post 250.5) to the Meadowbrook/US 190 intersection (near mile post 251.0), and Northbound and Southbound on LA 3228 (Asbury Drive) and St. Joseph Drive at their intersections with US 190 on Sunday, August 17, 2014 between the hours of 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM (weather permitting). During this time, crews will be installing roadway transitions, temporary striping and adjusting traffic signals as needed for the next construction phase of the project. One lane in each direction will remain open at all times. The new lane configuration will be in place by 6:00 AM Monday morning and will remain in place until further notice.

There will also be a lane re-configuration of a segment of St. Joseph Drive beginning on Monday, August 18, 2014 while the contractor reconstructs the intersection of US 190 and St. Joseph Drive. This section of roadway will have restricted access and will allow one-way through traffic for Southbound motorists only. Northbound traffic will remain open, but will be limited to local business access only. The restricted area will be from US 190 to approximately 400 feet south along St. Joseph Drive. This configuration will remain in effect until further notice.

For the duration of this phase of construction, both the Eastbound and Westbound travel lanes will be shifted to the recently constructed Westbound roadway while sections of the Eastbound roadway are re-constructed. This configuration will remain in effect until further notice.

Permit/Detour Section
