DOTD’s Paths to Progress continues temporary lane closures of Baronne Street and Poydras Street intersection
Tuesday, August 05, 2014 at 9:07:46 AM
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development’s Paths to Progress will continue alternating lane closures at the Baronne and Poydras Street intersection on Tuesday, August 5 from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The temporary closures will enable construction crews to complete the asphalt paving operations at the intersection. Paving operations of the eastbound lanes are complete, and crews will continue paving the remaining westbound lanes. The left turn from Poydras Street and the outside travel lane (closest to median) will remain open to traffic. Also, the New Orleans Police Department will assist with traffic management, and access to businesses and parking garages within the project limits will be permitted.

All planned construction activities may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather or other unforeseen events. Paths to Progress appreciates your patience and reminds you to drive with caution. Also, please be alert for the presence of construction workers and equipment.

Paths to Progress is a transportation improvement program to rehabilitate, restore and enhance more than 60 roadway segments in Orleans and Jefferson parishes.
