DOTD’s Paths to Progress announces temporary alternating lane closures of Baronne Street and Poydras Street intersection

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development’s Paths to Progress Program announces temporary alternating lane closures at the Baronne and Poydras Street intersection from Saturday, August 2 at 6:45 a.m. through Sunday, August 3 at 7 p.m.

The temporary closures will facilitate asphalt paving operations. The New Orleans Police Department will assist with traffic management, and access to businesses and parking garages within the project limits will be permitted.

All planned construction activities may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather or other unforeseen events. Paths to Progress appreciates your patience and reminds you to drive with caution. Also, please be alert for the presence of construction workers and equipment.

Paths to Progress is a transportation improvement program to rehabilitate, restore and enhance more than 60 roadway segments in Orleans and Jefferson parishes. With a combined investment of over $90 million, Paths to Progress is a collaborative effort between the Federal Highway Administration, Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, New Orleans Regional Planning Commission and City of New Orleans.
