LA 463: 221’ S of Vernon Parish Line – LA 121

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that, weather permitting, work will begin on the LA 463 Asphaltic Concrete Overlay and Base Stabilization Project on Monday, July 21, 2014 and will continue for approximately (4) four months. The contractor intends to begin replacing existing cross drain pipes within the existing roadway with other items of work to follow. This asphaltic concrete overlay and base stabilization project is located on LA 463 and begins 221’ south of the Vernon Parish line and ends at its intersection with LA 121. This 3.83 mile long project will receive drainage structures, in-place cement stabilized base course, superpave asphaltic concrete overlay and related work.
The project was awarded to the low bidder, Diamond B Construction Co., LLC in the amount of $1,659,929.49.
Permit/Detour section
There will be no restrictions for passenger vehicles and a 12’ wide lane width restriction for all oversize vehicles. The roadway will be reduced to one lane during construction. The roadway will be open to traffic at all times. Unpaved surface conditions will exist during base course work.
